Our Process
Send Us Your Pet Photos
Send one or more images of your pet. At least one image is required, but if the photo is blurry, dark, cropped, or not the best quality, we recommend sending a few options so we can choose the strongest reference.
Approve the Design
We translate your image into a rug design and send it to you for approval before production begins.
We Weave Your Rug
Once approved, we begin weaving your custom rug with care, turning your pet’s image into a beautiful bespoke rug.

Responsible production starts with a clear specification.
For our wool rugs, we request a 100% New Zealand wool from our weaving partners. We choose New Zealand wool because it is a renewable natural fibre with the durability and performance required for well-designed interiors. A rug that performs longer is a more considered use of material.
Our production partners follow a structured making process, from yarn preparation and azo-free dyeing through weaving, finishing, and final inspection. Wet and dry colourfastness testing is completed before production moves forward, helping maintain consistency across colour, construction, and performance.
The rugs are made by trained artisans. Our weaving partner reports that its artisans are paid weekly based on completed work and that child labour is not permitted within its factory, weaving centres, or dyeing facilities.
Once weaving is complete, every rug moves through shearing, binding, finishing, inspection, packing, and dispatch. No shortcuts. Just a disciplined process built around material integrity, skilled workmanship, and a finished product made to perform.

What material are the pet rugs made from?
We use high-quality New Zealand wool for our custom pet rugs. New Zealand wool is an eco-friendly material that is selected for its durability and long-term performance.
What kind of pet photo should I send?
Clear, well-lit photos work best. A front-facing image or a photo that clearly shows your pet’s face, markings, and expression will help us create the most accurate design.
Will I see the design before the rug is made?
Yes. We provide a design proof for review before production begins. This gives you the opportunity to approve the artwork or request adjustments.
Will the rug look exactly like my pet?
The rug is an artistic interpretation of your pet, designed to capture their key features, colouring, and personality. Because rugs are made with fibres rather than printed ink, some fine details may be simplified for the best finished result.
How much does a custom pet rug cost?
Our 2' x 3' pet rugs are $795.00 + tax. Pricing for other sizes depends on the final dimensions, design complexity and finishing details.
