Fluid Rugs are meticulously hand-knotted using a traditional Tibetan weave and crafted from 100% bamboo silk. Unlike viscose or Tencel, our bamboo silk is free from added chemical softeners. This ensures the fibers maintain their integrity over time, allowing the rug to clean properly and resist hardening after professional care.

To preserve the designer’s intended color story, Fluid Rugs are dyed using high-quality chromatic dyes. While natural dyes made from berries and other organic materials tend to fade quickly, chromatic dyes retain their vibrancy for significantly longer periods. This allows the rug’s color palette to remain balanced and visually striking as it ages naturally over time.

Bamboo silk is prized for its exceptionally soft, smooth feel and luminous finish, while also offering impressive durability. For added strength and versatility, Fluid Rugs can also be custom blended in a 50/50 mix of bamboo silk and premium New Zealand wool, creating a rug that is both luxurious and well-suited for everyday living.
